The summer Transitional Shelter program is designed to foster self-sufficiency for clients that are on an employment or educational track with a combination of short-term shelter and supportive services in order to rapidly re-house individuals who are homeless in west suburban Cook County.
Current volunteer openings in our PADS Shelter for the following days and shifts:
We need volunteers to provide breakfast on Wednesday, March 29, at Grace Episcopal Church, 924 W. Lake Street, Oak Park. The site capacity is generally 60 clients.
Volunteers are also needed to provide 25 sack lunches to drop off on Friday, March 31 at St. Christopher's Episcopal Church, 545 South East Avenue, Oak Park.
