Get Involved with National Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week
National Hunger and Homelessness Week, from November 15-23, is a great time to think about what we're thankful for, and to find a way to help our neighbors in need. Participating in National Hunger and Homeless Awareness Week not only brings greater awareness to our community, but also helps to promote the national endeavor to end hunger and homelessness. The plight of those without a home, or those living in poverty, can be both lonely and difficult. Addressing their struggles by organizing and participating in this week may bring greater solidarity and understanding, as well as promote future involvement.
If you're interested in organizing an event, please browse the list of ideas provided by the National Coalition for the Homeless, and let us know of your interest by emailing dpickard@westsuburbanpads.org. Thanks!
