Special thanks to Amanda Miller Design Studio
When we moved into our new office in Oak Park to be able to serve more people, we thought about how we not only wanted to explore the best use of our new space (all 3200 sq. ft.,) but that we really wanted the office to be professional and inviting. We also hoped that we could create an environment that helped those who came there feel a sense of sanctuary and hope.
We knew that we would also have to prepare Housing Forward to become a Walk-In Center for Entry Point, a new county-wide system to allow those who are most vulnerable and chronically homeless to access services and housing across all of suburban Cook County.
We decided we needed the expertise of an interior designer. When we reached out to Amanda Miller, a donor to Housing Forward along with her husband, Christopher, she willingly met with us to look over the space, make recommendations to customize each area and program office, and helped us measure, coordinate and plan for our donated furniture from Nitel. Amanda, along with her design team, Brittani Anselmo, Melissa Nuti and Allison Shaulis, offered their time and talents, uncompensated, for the project.
Amanda describes the work of her firm as “a small local interior design firm offering a full range of interior design, design consultation, space planning and project management services for the Oak Park and River Forest area.” To Housing Forward, she was truly a marvel who along with her team, worked to make our new office the great space it is. We’d like to show our appreciation to Amanda Miller Design Studio. To see more of her work, visit http://www.amandamillerds.com.
