PADS & the Oak Park Public Library Collaborate for Weekly Writing Workshop

"My Story Matters," a weekly creative writing workshop, began Monday, January 12th at the Main Branch of the Oak Park Public Library. The three sessions that have already taken place have been well attended, and have provided participants with a creative outlet, in addition to improved writing skills.

Our clients and community members are welcome at the workshops, with sessions led by staff from the library and PADS. Sessions typically involve writing exercises designed to share stories and experiences, which foster an increased sense of community among participants. 

Sessions will be held each Monday from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. through the end of March in the Veterans Room of the Main Branch at 834 Lake Street.
